There are constantly events in Boston catered to college students where you can meet people. Many Wellesley students go to frat parties with friends and have met boyfriends that way. People of all types of backgrounds apply and get into Wellesley. The admissions office wants to see students who, yes, care about their academics and learning, but also students who have passions outside of the classroom that they pursue and thoroughly enjoy.
Focus on your academics and do the best you can, but also know that your extracurriculars and application essay matter a lot. Wellesley wants to see well-rounded individuals who are passionate about Wellesley. My advice is to think less about your GPA and more about who you are as a person, why you want to attend Wellesley, and what your unique experience will bring to a place like Wellesley.
